Hey CR what you think of the House Of Shock after seeing the web site? It's quite a "haunted house". The last time I went I saw Scott Ian (from your area I think?) of Anthrax hanging out in the parking lot.
Lot's to see even if you don't go in the House if you like people watching 'cause there are some really interesting characters hanging around there.
Do you guys have many Haunted Houses on Long Island? We used to have lots of "Spook Houses" down here but due to the high cost (insurance & fire regulations I guess?) there are only a few left these days, no more cool "neighborhood" Haunted Houses left down here, those were the most fun!
Down here you could really Spook a Spook back in the day!

Hi Sam!
It looks pretty cool. StiX and I live in CT, but we are native Long Islanders (if there's such a thing or are we honorary Long Islanders since we asre there all the time!) I don't know of any of these types of Huanted Houses in CT. A long time ago I went on a Haunted Hay Ride at a Ski Lodge in upstate Westchester County in New York. It was just ok. I don't think it's around anymore.

Hey Gina -but Long Island has that Amityville house, isn't that a killer Haunted House ever year?
I don't think you could get ZGirl in that ONE (me neither for that matter!). :)

On Long Island, we have a few selected places that have Haunted Houses but they are nowhere near as good as Phil Anselmo's House of Shock. They are ok though...
As far as the Amityville House, you can visit it but you cant go inside of it. Last I heard, it was purchased by a private resident and they live there now, so its basically like any other house in Amityville Long Island. Not sure if this is true or not since its been years since I have been there....Amityville is a good 30 MIN drive from where I live west of me.

Thanks for the info. When ZGirl & I made our visit to Long Island in January this year we both noticed the "Amity" signs while cruising down the Expwy en route to the Kings Club late at night & we wondered if that was "the" Amityville or not. Then someone told us that it's just "another house where someone murdered his entire family a while back".
I haven't even seen the movies since I was in grammar school so I don't even remeber "what" the story in the movie was all about but apparently it's all "nothing". I wouldn't have known to this day about Amity being on Long Island, I always thought it was in the "middle of nowhere".
