Alice was awesome !
Macca & I went to Cooper's show Saturday night at the Gulfport
Grand Casino. I have been an Alice fan for close to 30 years. I first saw him perform at City Park Stadium in 1975 for his
"Welcome To My Nightmare" tour.

Alice did many of his old classics like "Eighteen", School's Out",Billion Dollar Babies", etc., as well as a few songs from the new CD "The Eyes of Alice Cooper". He brought out a live snake again (last time I saw him he used a stuffed one). He used swords, crutches, a female dummy ( for "Cold Ethyl") and a straight-jacket for props.

We were in the 12th row, but I soon moved up to the stage to be close and I shot 2 rolls of film. I hope they come out as good as I'd like them to. Alice still rocks!!!

Alice sounded great......especially his vocals! Don't know what he did, but he was strong from first song(Hello Hooray) to last(Under My Wheels). I haven't listened to the new CD yet(it came out last Tuesday), but they're saying its a return to the classic Cooper sound. Sure beats the hell out the last two DARK CD's - Brutal Planet and Dragontown.

I thought Brutal Planet was one of the best albums to come out from Alice and I would even go as far as saying its one of the most underrated CD's of the 2000 decade. Words cannot express how great I feel this CD is...I liked Dragontown but not as much as Brutal. I'll have to pickup the new CD as soon as I can...

Wish I could see him on LI in October but I work weeknights and cant take off.

GuitarPLYR and Malja -
If you like Alice at all, this is/was a show not to miss, if you can help it!

His vocals were as good as ever. He has gotten away from the big theatrical productions he used to put on. (You know- the sets, props, monsters, dancers, etc.) The music makes the show!

Alice always has a sense of humor.
At one point, out came someone dressed liked Madonna and someone dressed as Britney. As you can guess, they kissed on the mouth. (Although the Madonna impersonator was a guy).
Next here comes two police officer characters that break up the
kissing couple and run them off the stage. After that, these two guys look into each other's eyes and move closer to one another.
Just as they are about to kiss, Alice pushes through them and runs them off the stage!

All in all, a great show packed with greatest hits like School's Out,
Eighteen, Desperado, Elected, Billion Dollar Babies, Poison, Ballad of Dwight Frye, No More Mister Nice Guy, Welcome to My Nightmare, etc. and a couple of new songs.....

I loved it!

In the late 70's Alice Cooper Stole Lou Reed's Band Just Before a Tour by offering $$$$. The whole back up Band on Rock n Roll Animal. I always thought that was funny even though I like Lou Better.
