Van Halen's Diamond Dave or Solo DLR?

Now that I have seen most people prefer Van Halen to Van Hagar, Do you prefer Van Halen David Lee Roth or the solo David Lee Roth?

I prefer VH Diamond Dave because the solo career would have been AWESOME if Steve Vai and the rest of the original David Lee Roth band stayed with him. Once Vai and the rest of the guys left after "Skyscraper" DLR got kinda weird:rolleyes: ! Which Diamond do you prefer?

Nothing that Eddie or Dave could ever beat is the first time I heard Van Halen's self titled album.

Props to a dude named David Wells who had it cranking on cassette in his 1976 Ford LTD.

Its hard to believe that I had to ask David "Who the hell is that??"

The next day I had it cranking in my 1976 Ford Torino Elite.

Damn Im old.

I've been a tremendous Dave fan since the release of VH 1. Didn't care too much for the band after his departure. Ya gotta love his ****y "out there" persona and one must take it for what it is....HIS "schtick". I agree, his band with Stevie and Billy was INCREDIBLE. He did put out some great stuff as well with his other bands. "A Little Ain't Enough" has some classic Dave songs on it and one of my personal faves.....1999's DLR BAND kicks ass!
You want a driving song.....check out "Relentless" or "King Of The Hill". His voice may have weakened over the years but booze and smokes will do that. Oh, did I mention that he's the most famous "Jewish Rock Star"?:eek:

I say Diamond Dave with Van Halen cause it was better rock but I believe Dave had a better voice in his solo career!

I USED TO THINK DAVE MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE PROBLEM BACK IN THE DAY BUT IT SHOWS THAT ED HAD AND STILL HAS BIG TIME PROBLEMS.
