I'm off work today, a day of sorrow and remembrance for our company who lost about 300 employees Sept. 11th 2001 on floors 93-100 in the North Tower. I had to dial in to fix a problem and decided to check the site. I will be visiting a few families later today and extending condolences on the anniversary of that tragic day. I was lucky to be spared. I was 2 minutes away from arriving at the towers and taking my place on the 95th floor where I worked. Our floor was hit point blank by the first plane and most haden't even gotten the chance to wince. Just vaporized. No DNA, No evidence. Evidence was found from many I worked with. Some were known to have jumped from a stranded corner meeting room with nothing but fire, smoke and a big black hole to stare at while being overcome with heat and flames. My heart sank as I helplessly stood there, watching the tower burn then watching the second tower get hit. I frantically tried to page and call friends, some of who I worked with for over 16 years. Only to get no response from some and a disconnect signal on the phone.
May several of my personal friends and close colleagues rest in peace along with everyone else that perished that day. Here are a few friends I worked alongside who never responded and evidence was never found.

I got a lot of support from members on this board. Personal wishes and condolences for many of my close friends that died. I wanted to thank everyone for their support including Randy who expressed his sympathy.
