Original version is much better. I did hear Randy play the original version at one of his acoustic shows a few years back. Definitely a welcomed surprise.

Jack Douglas.. A Major Producer...(Aerosmith), probably took their song & gave it his edge..."Who's Behind The Door" was a little different But, Became a Masterpiece!If anyone heard the outtakes of the BEATLES or KISS...you'd be amazed what a serious producer can do ..& thats what he gets paid for !On the Contrairy,Big Bands are cashing in today on early outtakes of original songwrittings...But!!...we..the orthodox fans...Don't care what Radio Airplay offers!! Well, since I never heard the original, I can't say. I'm interested to know what the differences are. As for the demos on their best of cd, there were differences, albeit subtle one. A different lead break here, a different drum fill there, but for the most part, the same arrangements. I'd love to hear the original, a studio or demo recording if anyone happens to have it. The live one sounds interesting, too. I'll just say I love the song in general.

Old Version! Blows the doors off of the doctored one that was issued on CD and vinyl. Maybe if enough of the listmembers ask for it, Randy will listen and make the show that much better. Hearing the extra verse brings back great memories.

On a side note, can't wait to get my system back----MoBo died almost 3 weeks ago and haven't been able to keep up with what's going on. Just hope my inbox don't explode(LOL). Hope to see all the gang at Randy's show on the 9th.........

Original hands down...

Last time I saw one of Randy's acoustic shows he played the original.. What a treat.. I actually like the original "When You Get There" and "As I Said Before" over what showed up on the debut album.
