BG, We did.
Ted Nugent was crazy as usual. He shot an arrow into a large cardboard cutout of Sadaam and told everyone that doesn't agree with him to kiss his ass... (Ted's usual stuff).
The bearded guys of ZZ Top wore some pretty wild costumes loaded with rhinestones. They were quite a bit more lively than the last time we saw them.

Guy was telling me last night how great the show was. Wild stage set up with some sort of statues or something. Hope y'all had a great time....ZZ ROCKS!

ZZ Top has to be the kings of "minimal" staging! Two mike stands, a drum riser, and a dark curtain. The foldback monitors were off the stage in a gap between the stage and barrier, who knows where the amps were(maybe they went thru the P.A.). A few songs into the set, the curtain opens up and an Alamo backdrop is there with 2 Mescaleros on either side. After one of the songs(can't remember which), the 2 walk up to Billy and Dusty, fill up a shot glass with tequila and toast the crowd for all the support over the years. After chugging the shot, they flip the glasses into the crowd(whomever was close got a tequila bath!).
The outfits were wild and outlandish(as usual). I found a website after doing a search that had pictures from the St. Louis show. Hopefully, they'll have some from this show as well, as I witnessed two professional cameramen shooting rolls of film.
Like Ziggy posted earlier, they were more animated than the last time we saw them.......the previous show, they barely moved and looked like statues and played with little or no emotion.
