Randy is great 'cause he plays Electric AND acoustic. Teddy is awesome and even sings a song or two and Mike....needs another cymbal!

Did you ever notice that cymbals are shaped like nipples?

Does that make them sex cymbals?

I can't think of cymbals without thinking of this Kinks story...

It was 1965 and Dave Davies was onstage wearing sunglasses to hide the two black eyes he'd gotten in a fight the night before. The Kinks were notorious onstage brawlers, especially Dave and drummer Mick Avory and that's who gave Dave the pair of shiners.

So, on this night, Dave spat at Mick while they were playing and turned around to sing into his mic. Mick responded by "hitting Dave in the head with a cymbal" That was the end of the show that night as Dave dropped to the stage unconscious.

The story is legendary among Kinks fans and so is Mick Avory's comment about it:

"I didn't hit Dave with a cymbal. When you hit someone with a cymbal you decapitate them. I hit him with the pedal end of the hi-hat!"
