- When? ( instead of why?)
- Aftermath ( in light of 9/11)
- Trials and Tribulations (of getting the darn thing put out)
- Rebirth ( it's a new century since they put material out)

We really should think about this topic seriously! Maybe have a deadline set between all of us to submit possible titles. We could vote on the top 5 and send the list onto Randy,Guy and Felix. It's possible they make like one?!?!?!

Yeah Sue, I think you're on the right trail. The reason I suggested "Why am I here" is because that is one of the songs on the new album (very good one I migh add).

Has there been a new forum title called "NEW ALBUM TITLES" If not, let's start one.

I always felt the reason for the album title 3.V was to say this was an album and a half. It was 1.5 times better than any other album they did. If using that line of thinking then Zebra 4 would be a disappointment

zebrachikodoom

i thought it was since they had a 5 album record contract w/ atlantic and they were in their 3rd out of 5 albums

The same idea once occurred to me. However, Chris ****rill's original Zebra webpage (before it became the "official" site) contained a magazine article in which the album title was explained.

The article quoted Randy Jackson as saying that after recording of the album was complete, Atlantic Records asked them to hurry with the title, but requested that it not be "Zebra III" (like "Led Zeppelin III" etc). As a joke, Randy said "How about 3.5?" The title stuck, but the "5" was replaced with a Roman Numeral (no explanation was given for that).

I should have the article on file somewhere, but I don't have it at hand. Otherwise, I would have provided a direct quote.

I temporarily forgot about archive.org. This link should enable one to access the article:

Yeah, We must have read the same article talking about Zepplin III.

Gotta have a profound name this time, one that sells.

You know another thing? (from "best song ever" thread on the forums) The reason "But No More" was put on the album was because he probably was doing Alicatore a favor by putting the song out again, since the NTL album did not sell like they wanted.
