The susquehanna center. One of my favorite places to see a concert. The crowds are always rockin there.

Macca & I just saw this show here in New Orleans at the Arena.
It was a great show! Enjoyed all three bands! Had great seats
in the 4th row which we bought just an hour before the show -
what good luck that was! Set list here seems the same as posted
above by GreggFromJoisey. We did catch Night Ranger with
Jack Blades. They even did Damn Yankees song "High Enough"
which I was very happy to hear. Enjoyed Foreigner even though
there were no original members. Mick Jones (only original member
left) has been ill and was absent. A Nght Ranger guitarist,
Joel Hoefstra (?) did double duty and played with both Night Ranger
and Foreigner. Arnel's vocals were incredible. Journey rocked
the Arena. Arnel closed the show wearing a Drew Brees Saints jersey
and throwing out Mardi Gras beads to the crowd.

Foreigner was the show stealer for me on this tour. This is better than the original lineup. Sorry there was no Mick jones for you guys. With Journey I know people that wouldn't go because there's no Steve Perry. Personally I'd rather see a vocalist who sounds just like him that nails it every time and brings a lot of energy to the stage. I don't know why people would rather see a 62 year old man who has to sing everything in a lower key because he can't hit any of the notes. No disrespect to Steve Perry, but when you're in your 60's, human nature takes over and you can't sing the same. The new guy is amazing. Same with the Foreigner vocalist. He nails it and sounds incredible. night ranger is incredible as well.

Fully agree. Arnel is awesome. And one of the most amazing stories in Rock music: a fan singing in a Journey tribute-band in the Philipinnes becomes suddenly the leadsinger of his favorite (major) band... This is more than just winning the lottery, isn't it?
I also liked Journey with Steve Augeri and Jeff Scott Soto, great voices as well, but with a less Perry-sound ... Does anybody knows what Steve Perry is doing now? It's very quiet from that site.
I've seen Foreigner and Journey at the Bospop Festival in the Netherlands last July. Great shows indeed. Journey played 4 songs of Eclipse, also 'Tantra' and 'Chain Of Love' which I like more than the 2 the did in the list above.
Night Ranger was not at that festival, but I saw them headlining a show in London in June (the only headline-show they did in Europe...).
This was their setlist:
1. Rock N' Roll Tonite SIC
2. Touch of Madness MM
3. Sing Me Away DP
4. Growin' Up In California SIC
5. The Secret of My Success BL
6. Eric Levy Solo keyboard solo
7. Sentimental Street 7W
8. Eddie's Comin' Out Tonight DP
9. L.A. No Name accoustic
10. Goodbye 7W
11. Lay It On Me SIC
12. Coming of Age Damn Yankees
13. Four in the Morning 7W
14. When You Close Your Eyes MM
15. Don't Tell Me You Love Me DP
Encore:
16. No Time To Lose Ya SIC
17. Sister Christian MM
18. (You Can Still) Rock in America MM

Jayman..How can you say a band with completely no original or even a couple or BETER than original.
I'm sure they were OK ..But BETTER??? Original is just that ORIGINAL.
There is NO band that is Better than their ORIGINAL.
Makes no sense???
you did not see Foreigner you saw a Cover or tribute band.
Same with BOSTON
Same with Skynyrd.
IMO It's abunch of BS.
No offense but think about it.

My point was the same as it was with Journey. I'm not comparing it to the 70's. This is not the 70's anymore. Again, would you rather see a 61 year old lou gram who can't sing anymore, or would you rather see somebody who really belts it out of the park and brings energy to the stage? Jeff Pilson, Tom Gimbel, I'll take them any day over the original members who are pushing 70. If this was 1977, yeah I'd prefer the original members, but obviously that's not possible anymore. Call it a cover band if you want, but compare their concert performances in recent years to any of them they did in the 70's, and I'll take the recent performances any time.

Jayman, my point is and call me old (or old school) whatever
These groups that do this are ripping the public off , I am not ripping you for liking them, at least you have a clue that it is not the original band.
However a lot of people do not even realize that they are not seeing something even close to the original band. case in point , Boston when they were in BR. Seriously most fans at this show did not have a clue that Bradley Delp RIP was not there. It was really amazing to talk to peeps and they had NO clue.
Little River Band, the same in New Orleans, No original members.
Styx you can say well DeYoung is not their but at least they keep the show to Shaw and Young"s stuff for the most part.
I just do not like to see these bands do this.
Leave it alone,Leave the legacy alone...or call it something else as Skynyrd called themselves Skynyrd Tribute Band for a couple years or so, then they just HAD TO call it Lynyrd Skynryd again. I think it is terrible that they did this.
Just my opinion.

I'm not agreeing OURSOOOO.
Everybody got the freedom to go to a show or to stay at home. If people don't know that bands don't have original members (or just a few)anymore, means that these folks don't really care. If you wanna go to a show of a band that exists 30 or 40 year, you may not be suprized that somebody left or died, don't you? It's your own responsibility to check it out. That's not cheating. Btw, if they still use the original name, means that they have the rights to do so.
It's simple: inform yourself an decide then if you want to see them or not.

I gotta agree with Stephan. People just don't care. They're there to have a good time and hear some of the songs they grew up listening to. Nobody's getting ripped off and they're not cover bands. the crowds couldn't care less if there's a different bass player or drummer than the original. And if the vocalist isn't the original but he sounds like the original guy and gives a good performance, people are happy. I'm very grateful these bands are keeping it going. I was too young to go to concerts in the 70's so there's bands I never would've gotten to see had they not kept it going with other members.
I'm split on this one. For example. Though I have seen YES a few times since they got the new singer (and you see I'm so thrilled about it I can't even remember his name). Next month I going to Sherman Theatre in PA to see Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman tour together just beacuse I miss those original guys.
Though I agree there are some quality replacements. However when original members dspart from the a band, they leave a void. A shadow of what once did exist.

You're right Mark, nothing as good as the original line-up. But in many cases we will never have the chance to see such shows: Brad Delp, Phil Lynott, Ronnie James Dio etc. are gone forever and Steve Perry, Robert Plant, and some others will never return. It's up to us if we still wanna see live shows with their substitutes or not. We can hope for Dennis De Young, Lou Gramm, Jon Anderson, etc... if David Lee Roth Bruce ****inson and Rob Halford find their way back, why others won't? Let's wait and see.
Yes will play in Brussels next month. I didn't plan to go, Yes without Jon Anderson is no Yes for me. But now I got their latest cd, it's pretty good and their new singer (also I don't remember his name) doesn't annoy me at all, so I changed plans and give it a try... maybe I'm impressed, maybe I'm disappointed...
Stephan, Yes new singer name is David Benoit. Like I said, I'm split on this subject. While there is nothing like the original lineups, there are usually still quality musicians with lotsa good talent worth checking out.
Now you got me interested and I have to check out the new CD.
I seen YES twice with the new Singer. He does a good job. Just not no Anderson as we remember. The fact that he looks like a young grape surronded by a bunch of old raisins is a dead give away. But definitely a worthwhile show to checkout.
