I checked out a Beatle tribute band last night at the Dugout in Commack. They're called Strawberry Fields, they're members of the original Broadway cast of Beatlemania. They dress in clothes from that time period, talk with British accents and use the same guitars and amplifiers as the fab four. If you get a chance you should check them out. They play 2 sets, the first set covers 1963- till early 1966, the second covers late 66 until 1970. All in all they coverd about 35 songs. If anyones interested they're playing at the Brickhouse Brewery in Patchogue on May 10. Showtime is 11:00.

I'd love to check this out.....

When I was 14-15 years old, I was a HUGE Beatlemania groupie, I would hang out after the show behing the Wintergarden theater, and I have, like, 5 casts worth of autographs on the old Playbills!!! I was in love with 1 of the Georges back then too!!!

Wonder if THAT George is the George in Strawberry Fields...HHmmmm......

I thik it might be the original George. I heard he's been with them since 1978.

I saw Strawberry Fields back in February at The Brickhouse, and they were great! Just like Pale Rider said, the band dresses up and plays the songs chronologically. Keep in mind if you plan on going to The Brickhouse...the place isn't all that big and it fills up very fast!!

Sandy...make sure you run upstairs to tell Christine about this show so she can put in to have the night off. I know she would kill herself if she had to miss this one!!

"was in love with 1 of the Georges "
Dawnie, I have an extensive Curious George collection, for what it's worth. Is that the one you loved?
