Concerning "Rock Candy" --- count me in as one who saw both artists do the song live. Caught Hagar a few years ago at HOB plugging his current(then) CD. The place was packed, Cabo Tequilla EVERYWHERE, crowd(especially the ladies) going nuts. Only downer was that I couldn't get anything signed........
cool show i bet. you don't miss to many do you macca?

Not too many left to go see. They're either retired, or dead. I'm kinda like a guitar strings ad in a magazine a few years ago-----picture shows an aged guy bending a serious chord with his guitar and the caption reads:
Old rockers(guitarists) don't die, their G string just don't get as tight.
Meaning.....if they're still out there and I can afford it(or pull comps), I'm there! I refuse to be like my old classmates who are married and "settled" down and listening to crappy new wave and country, and think I shouldn't listen to all this great music.

Quite a few years ago, a friend(my best friend since grade school) was talking with me and wanted to show me what he's listening to currently. Well....he pulls out some seriously lame new age and country. I looked at him, and told him if that's all I could listen to, give me the dagger and drive it in. Sorry folks, I'm wound real tight and won't loosen up for some time to come.....

he just loves to mess with my head. I'm seriously thinking of e-mailing him the week the CD comes out to see what kind of response he gives me. He refers to the band as "LedZebra". He can have his lame ass crap. I'll stick to the music that still has a gut to it. I know with age we mellow(somewhat), but he's gone to damn close comatose!

Rob, can't kick the ass of a good friend, especially one who's musically challenged. I've often thought of kidnapping him and taking him to a concert to see what he's missing. Kinda hard to believe we grew up around the corner from each other and had the same musical tastes. I supose I'm an old hippie, but one with damn good taste!

Years ago; One day we're working on my friends austin healey to the sound of drums comming from the upstairs apartment......."Man that dude is good"......."wait, I know that song....."......"Is he playing Zebra?"......"he sure is".......
This guy was jamming to the debut album front to back, and I remember he was from Ohio. Never did see him again, but I'm sure he still kickin' it up there somewhere.

I'm musically challanged, probably in both senses of listening and playing, but I'm not as challanged as the "dead man". VH and Zebra were my first main influences, Zebra hitting closer to home, going earlier it was Beatles, Stones, B Joel, etc......
Well, that will be another chapter for the book.

Oh yeah, baby! It was a 1963 (or was it a '66?) Austin-Healey Sprite (total weight about 1000 lbs) , with a 948 cc engine we dropped it in by hand. The interior was finished with teakwood over the rear wheel hump, finished plywood for the door panels, crinkle finish valve cover and dash board with chrome guages, a Webber side draft 2 bbl carb, perelli 13" tires, new rag top, exhaust, leather seats, and a orangy-red hi gloss paint job with deltec paint. It was at world of wheels back around 1989. Glad I had the pleasure of helping restore it.
