Jimmy Page in an interview in London today put to rest the rumor that he, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham would tour as Led Zeppelin this summer. While he said he was not adverse to the idea, he said that now was not the time.

Those 3 should kiss and make up. Wake up Zeps'-----we(and you) aren't getting any younger. Who knows how long Page's body will hold out until his past abuses catch up with him? Or better yet, how long will Plant have a voice? P/P sounded great last time I saw them locally, and JPJ tore up HOB(got him to sign the setlist!) We can only hope and pray huh??

You would think these major bands would act like family. Such big ego's. How about thinking about the fans! And man what a ton of money they would make! But I guess money isn't everything...

I'm a Zeppelin fan from way back. Started listening to them in 1971 and had the pleasure of seeing them in 1977 at MSG. Given the high level of energy the band displayed at ther concerts, I think it's a good thing that no reunion will take place. Everyone must remember that each surviving member of Zeppelin is in thier mid to late 50's and remaking that level of energy would be impossible. Maybe Zeppelin will be the only major band, along with Beatles, that will put the fans first and not simply do it for the money. Let the legacy and music of Zeppelin remain untarnished and stand the test of time. A triple live CD and double DVD spanning their career will be released May 27. Listen and watch and ask yourself if the surviving members can come close to replicating that level of performance. I think not. I must admit, I would love to hear an album by Zepplein again. Would be very interested in what direction the band would take. But in my opinion, no reunion is a good thing. I'm sure a great deal of you will disagree. I think there are too many reunion tours already, The Eagles, The Dead, Kiss (Farewell Tour??), Fleetwood Mac who are simply doing it for the money. At least The Who admit it.

I seen the Plant / Page tour and they sounded pretty good. I know that if the music isn't your passion, then you should not do it. The band broke up after Bonham's death. They really didn't get to go out in style and their own way. Why not give it 1 last chance. They can have a 50 piece orchestra behind them. Just one lasting impression and to say thanks to the fans. It's great to hear stories about kids today actually listening to Zeppelin. Same for the one's who hear Zebra and like the music. One day, over a hundred years from now, our Childrens children, will stumble across this stuff and say, "Hey, this doesn't sound half bad".

As for VH...with whom as a singer?? DLR....no way!
Sammy? Uh Uh !! Taint happenin'.......
Both bands gave us some of the best music EVER and be happy for that. Fortunately I got to see VH for 4 different tours when they were at the TOP. W&C, FW, DD, 1984 and 5150.
Sadly never got to see Zep....just Plant solo and the last tour with Jimmy.

The likelyhood of VH touring, I pick a reunion of The Beatles. Even with the worse odds, VH can never function together under one ego. The best bet is Eddie will join some power group. I'd be surprised to see him and Lukather hook up one time.
