I emailed Randy on this idea. Have Guy put "TheDoor.com" on his bass drum head. I told Randy they should really look into it, right before they have a date set for the release. Since radio is way out in time, that a T.V. spot would pull in mega fans. Have the web page ready for all previous and new fans alike. Then we can look to doing an internet release party on the web. We can do our part and see if we can email SNL for available spots, and have the guys perform "Arabian Nights" for the first cut and "Who's Behind The Door" for the second cut. If Randy wanted to go all out, get some strings for the show.

I never was quite sure how the bands got on SNL. I thought maybe the guest host picked them? How does that work? Pay to play? I woud love to see the audience after zebra blows thru whatever song. That would really be a phenomenal boost. I'd pay $50+ to see SNL happen. Could you imagine the buzz, and confusion. "where did this band come from?" "how come i never heard of them?" I don't think SNL has seen anything like Zebra.

I think it would be incredible exposure and if they played Who's Behind the Door second, perhaps many out there would say "Hey, I remember that song". Then they could do Letterman :-)

OU812, I think it would bring them exposure. SNL still has a good rating, plus, they will be releasing the music acts on DVD. They are recording the product as we speak for a box set or something. The have like 4 DVD's of acts on SNL already. Who knows, perhaps Zebra can get on one of those DVD's. Look at the acts that have performed on SNL. After that, sure Leno & Letterman. Even bring some life to the dull-one-O'brien show. SNL would be the starting point. Schedule the show like 4 or 5 weeks before the album comes out. Get the buzz here on the website. Leno & Letterman will call, Zebra selling out huge stadiums again. I'm sure they can hook up with some other 80's act looking to do some shows. I can just see Randy talking about his "Dog Jaw" to Leno, now that would be funny.

Does anybody know how to get a hold of SNL staff? We ought to wait from Randy first and see what he thinks. If they are looking to get the best time, the first show of the season is always the most watched. Perhaps nobody has been booked yet. They always preview the new show weeks before, it would pull in some new listeners. Once they do SNL, they'll be surely doing Leno & Letterman a few weeks later.
