For those folks in NY/NJ, anyone notice Bob got bumped from the morning slot on Q104? I cannot say I am a fan of the new morning show with The Radio Chick. I can understand why it's now only 6-9AM. Bob will be on afternoons between 2-4. Not sure if he is cutting down his air time on his own or wants to get back to playing music?? He has the ratings up for the station and they make this move? He's still Program Director for the Station. This hurts Zebra since Bob would have definitely played the new material during prime time.. Oh well.

I don't know about him playing Zebra. The fact is that Q104 is not WBAB and it has a very strict play list. Even Bob by himself might not be able to get Zebra onto it. It would probably take a very concerted effort by all of us calling in and requesting it over and over before they would play it.

It would be easy to just begin an internet radio station, here at this website. Eventually folks will hear the new stuff. You are never going to reach every listener out there. Most radio stations either play classic music or alternative. Zebra needs to (in all honesty), get on Saturday Night Live. I've seen crappy artist on there to the best. Zebra would do well promoting on there. They also need to do VH-1. I'm sure if we had to email these folks with the idea, they would see our strength in numbers. But, we can't do anything until we can count on a record deal in like the next 3 or 4 months. The best deal is to have Zebra on like a couple of weeks before the album is out. Have Guy put the website on his bass drum. Folks will show up here looking for info on the new album. They can hear a few new samples, word gets out, back in the saddle.

Although they are not in regular rotation, Bob still gets Zebra on the air. In fact Randy played "Why" live on the Q. Each time Zebra or Randy has played a bigger show (Vanderbilt, Brookhaven Amphitheater) Bob's had them on to promote the show. He's actually heard the new disc and thinks it is good. So who knows?

I do agree, if we don't call and request it, Zebra has little staying power.

we need more bobs on our radio stations to help sell ZEBRA.

I've seen Bob Buchman open up a ZEBRA/BLUE OYSTER CULT show at the Vanderbilt in LI about a year back.
Also heard him get Zebra air play before. The Raidio Chick is ok but I actually think its her rack, her nice bod and good looks that catch the guys in the audience interest.
Though you can't actually see her when she's on the air, she does give a lot of chick hunting advice
for all the hornball guys out there. Straight from her own hot lipps!
