WHITE GUILT IS DEAD

By Tom Adkins

Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I’m virtually euphoric. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not thrilled with America ’s flirtation with neo socialism. But there’s a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America : The Era of White Guilt is over.

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn’t give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader. Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks, retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution. But if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I’m feeling a little “uppity,” if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now exactly ZERO. And it’s time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright’s “God Damn America ,” Al Sharpton’s Church of Perpetual Victimization , or Jesse Jackson’s rainbow racism. Cornell West? You’re a fraud. Go home. All those “black studies” programs that taught kids to hate whitey? You must now thank Whitey. And I want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up.. ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I’m waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America . Begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. And please…no more ebonics. Speak English, and who knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah…pull up your pants. Your underwear is showing. You look stupid.

To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America ? I’m still waiting for the first black French President.

And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I’ve always despised lazy white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy black people. You’re poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with three different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin’ butt on the couch and complain “Da Man is keepin’ me down,” allow me to inform you: Da Man is now black. You have no excuses.

No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because someone’s great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally revile.

It’s time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustle machine upon the heap of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there, by wife swapping, next to dope-smoking. Plenty of room right between free love and cop-killing. Careful…don’t trip on streaking.. There ya go, don’t be gentle. Just dump it. Wash your hands. It’s filthy.

In fact, Obama’s ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and got elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O'Henry tale, Obama’s spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama’s election has validated American conservatism!

So, listen carefully…Wham!!!

That’s the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

However, despite my glee, there’s apparently one small, rabid bastion of American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn’t that be 50-50? Tonight, every black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it’s time to start spreading the guilt around.

Yeah but what happens if the Obama Messiah doesnt live up to all his campaign promises and we vote him out of office? Do we then revert to being called racists again?

Sorry to say but his election wont do anything to unite the people and have racism disappear. It just may do the opposite sadly. And lets keep in mind that Sharpton and Jackson are invested in keeping racism alive. They make their money off of it so that pot will continue to be stirred.

Not to put the Jinx on Obama. But if there's any chance a US president is gonna be assasinated, his odds aren't to good.

My take on this is he told "The People", that he would "Spread The Wealth". Ok, in a basic eye that means he will become a modern day Robin Hood. Steal from the rich to give to the poor. Who needs to steal? Why is he looking to steal? What the 97% black voters heard was "We Are Getting Some Respect". They will be looking for those handouts and he will have nothing to give them. He will blame the spiriling economy on the White Man, getting their billion dollar bonuses and there will be nothing left. I predict anarchy as no one needs to assasinate him...I think he will hang all by himself. Anything he will try to get votes for, will get vetoed fo that reason. Congress will not allow Obama freewill to give away money to the African American society. That is what they expect will happen, much to the works of MJK. Even if MJK were alive today, it will still be this way. The poor stay poor as they don't want to work for a living. They want it for free and now they think they will get what the Black man has been told he can not have. Just like the story says..."Obama was not poor...Obama was not uneducated......what's wrong with the 97% that voted for him then?

There are white supremist and just plain gay/black haters out there waiting to plug the man.

Dont' quote me, But when Obama went into office he stated that this is the way americans should be celebrating. For an election. Not like when the blacks did when OJ Simpson has been freed. That is a sad ordeal, two people died. That's a tradgedy not a racist thing.
Would OJ have done it if it was a black guy stealing his wife? I have no doubt!

In such a divesified melting pot that we call the USA. We are doing a hell of alot better then other countries to tolerate and deal with alot of issues in our homeland.

Hey! Walk down the street in Arabia and pull the veil off a woman's face. You'lll be hung.

In America there are laws against that too. But they ain't gonna hang you for it!

This may be a Carter II or worse. His economic plans are counter to everything you should do to pull out of a recession. There are not any economists I have listened to that agree thhat in a deep recession you start taxing corporations and individuals. Contrary to what his promises were mark my words the tax plan will dig much deeper into the middle class. His stance on Unions is also frightning We see how the unions have affected the auto companies. Our trading partners around the world mustt be salivating at the thought that their US competition will disappear before their eyes.

Not only that but the Foreign Policies is a HUGE risk. Just think about the idea that "IF" he pisses off China especially, what that would do to us. We rely heavily on them for everything we do. What US product do we sell that is not first created in China? If he is smart, he will continue to keep peace and not make too many waves caused by our poor economy. Every one can slam Bush for why we are here today but let me remind them that at anytime during this country's life, has a president had to endure a terroist attack on American soil and go to war in the same term? He has done a great job, that was inherited from the presidents before him. Obama will not turn this economy around in 4 or even 8 years, and even said that at his acceptance speech. He just needs to keep it on course and not try to steer it one way or the other right now. I think his life depends on it and he knows those risks.

We are in an era of people voting on everything and anything. They were sold this guy as the answer. It was a publicists dream. Somebody conjured up this fairytale and America bought tickets to the show. Has anybody ever gone to see a movie because the preview looked good. I have, and I have sat through hours of c.r.a.p. How ever this movie is 4 years long and is going to cost a whole lot more then $12.50. I'm already choking on the popcorn.

I will agree that Obama will not be able to turn this economy around in 4 years. It will take an effort of sustained national will to see this through. It will also take government leadership since our manufacturing, financial and even retail corporations are in dire straits. I do not envy the man what he has to face, but I hope that we give him a fair chance to try something practical to get these problems under control.

However, stating Bush has done a "great job" is an amazingly illogical thing to thing to say. Yes - we endured a horrific terrorist attack on our soil and his response to go after Al-Qaeda in Afganistan was correct since the Taliban harbored Osama Bin Laden. However, the decision to go into Iraq was based on faulty (probably fabricated) evidence put together by a special team in the DoD (headed by the VP and the Sec. of Defense). The normal intelligence community told the President that this evidence was was wrong, but he chose to follow it.

Bush and the Congress (who were misled by this "evidence") have squandered our standing in the world, caused over 4,000 unneeded American deaths, at least 60,000 Iraqi civilian deaths (conservatively), 2 million Iraqi refugees, and at least $1 Trillion (low ball) to $3 Trillion (more likely) in debt due so far to this invasion. Saddam Hussein was an evil man and didn't like the US, but he did not attack us. It was the neocon junta in the Bush administration who used 9-11 as an excuse to depose him and then set up a "democracy" for geopolitical gain. They sold the American public a suspicious bill of goods when we were feeling our most vulnerable since Pearl Harbor and amazingly a huge amount of people believed that Saddam was responsible for the attack on the World Trade Center.

The people who have benefited the most from the Iraqi invasion have not been its citizens or us, but the oil companies (who are going to get oil services contracts that were formerly held exclusively by Iraq's nationalized oil company), contractors like Halliburton who got no-bid work on the reconstruction efforts, and the privatized security forces. Surprisingly, these are the same interests that plowed huge amounts of money into the RNC and Bush's campaigns.

The security contractors are needed because the US Military was never sized for the true extent of the occupation force needed which would probably entail the reinstatement of the draft to maintain. However, they have had controversial clashes with Iraqis that a true military organization would not allow and are not held accountable in their actions which lessens the goodwill we have with the Iraqis.

It was estimated that using primarily local contractors to rebuild the infrastructure of Iraq would cost 90% less. There have also been cases of rampant fraud by foreign contractors. It has been estimated that $8.8 BILLION have been lost in fraud to contractors who have overcharged or not delivered the services they were paid to deliver.

Even with the US government's normal budget and the cost of the wars, Bush pushed through tax cuts. He has put the long term debt of this war on the younger generation of Americans. The handling of just this issue alone makes Bush and his team one of the worst that has ever led this country.

Sorry to go on a rant, but sometimes I get tired of the rah rah "Poor President Bush" attitudes posted.

I believe many lost a LOT of respect for Bush after many things that he had done. Big business is running this show and dividing "Democrats and Republicans" is harder than ever -- more like Demicans and Repubricrats.

Lets just hope that the "winner" will realize the border patrols will need to be enforced(doubtful). This country has enough problems already. We don't need some more freeloaders coming over to sponge off our nickel.
