I wouldn't mind seeing the Eagles because I've never gone to a single show. However, the extremely high price of their tickets (and believe me - they pioneered $150+ ticket prices) keeps me from doing it. I'm a fan, but I'm not that BIG a fan! Maybe I'll be caller #9 someday. I did see Joe Walsh solo and with The James Gang and that was excellent.
I went to my first and only eagles show about 5 years ago. Same ticket Price range. I paid $88 for mine. They were side stage about 10 rows back in second level @ meadowlands. But the show was worth it. They played over 2 1/2 hours, mostly all their hits and solo earlier stuff too from each artist. So not only do you get treated to songs like all the eagles hits, but you get stuff like 'Rocky Mountain Way', 'Funk 49', 'You belong to the city', 'The Heat is On'', 'Dirty Laundry', 'Boys of Summer', 'Sunset Grill', and much more.
As for OU812, If your home videos are anything like your avatar, I don't blame ya! Why Leave the house?

I'm keeping fingers crossed the horn section is gone...especially when Walsh kicks into his songs(Funk49, Rocky Mountain Way and Life's Been Good). Absolutely NO reason to have horns when these songs are played!

I really missed seeing Zebra in Lafayette tonight and all our
Zebra family...(Did Felix ask about us?...sometimes he does....and if he did, did anyone tell him why Macca & I weren't there tonight?
But The Eagles were wonderful tonight! There was no opening act.
The band wore dark suits with black ties and white shirts. The Eagles
played for nearly 3 hours! They took one short break.
They opened with several new songs from their latest cd "Long Road Out of Eden" and then wowed the crowd with "Hotel California"...the rest of the evening contained a few more new songs, but almost entirely one familiar hit after another. (They have so many.) The
crowd was singing along. The show ended with (the last encore)
"Desperado". :hail:
Did anyone else go tonight...or see this tour elsewhere?

A STORY -
Yesterday at work, (I work in the office of a large condo complex)
a man came in looking to find one of our residents - she was not
at home. He was in a suit coat & slacks, but wearing the new
Eagles tour shirt. I asked if he had gone to Friday night's show &
we spoke about how much we enjoyed it. Then he told me that
Steuart Smith (Eagles guitarist since 2001 who shares lead guitar duties
with Joe Walsh) is his best friend & that they were originally from
the D.C. area. This gentleman (who has resided in New Orleans for
the past 20 years now) told me that he was in a band with Steuart
when he was 18 and that their band once opened for Poco.
(Eagles' Timothy B. Schmit was formerly in Poco.) He told me all
about having gone backstage before the show and getting to try
out some of Steuart's many guitars. He asked if I had noticed all
the guitar changes that there were that night because of all the
different tunings required for different songs, some of the unusual
guitars Steuart has, how extremely nice the guitar techs were, etc.,
etc. Steart may be fairly new to the Eagles but co-wrote several of
the songs on the latest cd "Long Road Out of Eden" and co-produced
it. He has also toured with both Don Henley's and Glenn Frey's solo
touring bands. ...Just thought it was interesting...

WOW ziggy!!!! That is a great story! Man...just think if you would have met this man the day of the show...ya never know...backstage...maybe?
We sure missed you guys Friday night. It had to be one of the better shows we have seen in a while. And no....Felix didn't ask about you guys. After the show, the guys came out in the crowd and they were bombarded with people taking pictures, etc. We left right after the show. We will try and see you guys for Mardi Gras holidays.

Zuzu said she had a conversation with Felix & told him we were at the Eagles show - the general concensus about us was "the nerve
of them!"
