I am a bit...Hardcore...in my tastes in Metal Music.

Def Leppard's endless "Contempoary Top-40" Power Ballads are getting a little Old. I have only heard 1 Interresting Riff from the whole CD. Looks like theyre Age is showing.
Time to hook-up with Barry Manilow for a Tour.

Def Leppard lost it when they experienced those Terrible Tragedys in theyre History.

...Where's my VENOM CD's?....

Everybody has there own opions.....Actually there's only 2 ballads out of 13 songs not a bad ratio....but if your into mostly the hard stuff....then it's safe to say that you won't like the new CD but if you like Leppard at all....Exspecially Hysteria then you will Definatly like the new one.

and why is that a shot in the Jaw...cause someone dosen't like the band i like....isn't the first and won't be the last.

Hey what has Leppard done that Van Halen hasen't.....

Made a new CD!

Yeah....I like it all. been a fan since the begining...and sure i would love them to write a balls out metal tune..but that's not them..and it's not going to happen. but i know Phil and vivian can shred with the best of them(kiss the day) and i would rather here my favorite band..along with other's Zebra,Queensryhe,Tesla..etc on the radio then the shit there playing now.

I think the time is right for the popular bands of that era again..eddie needs to get his head out of his ASS.....

I have definitely (against my will) heard the entire new Def CD.

I actually gave it an Open-Minded listen.

I will say again. Del Leppard have slowed-down.
The slower "Adult Contemporary" Songs on the new CD bore the piss outta me. Unfortunately...those kind of songs make up 2/3 of the CD!
(Now i realise why i stopped listening to Journey years ago!)

Adrenalize blows this one outta the water.

Just my silly opinion on the Topic. :)

okay, my bro has cable, and i caught a video of a tune off the x cd. joe was playing acoustic. I really need to hear the whole cd, but i'm just gonna say what i truly feel. I felt that the song was written to try to sound like these modern rock bands, and catering to the younger kids. I didn't feel the realness in it. It looks like they've changed their look too. Maybe it was because it was just my first time hearing it? That does happen. Sometimes i will hear something, and it will have to grow on me. This video just seemed like they were trying to follow trends, playing it safe, etc. Sounded watered down - I don't mean too light, because i like all types of music. Like my brother says "It just didn't hit me in the gut". After saying all of this, i want to listen again, and hear the rest of it, because i have changed my mind before. Just because it wasn't what i expected, doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve another listen. It's hard to recall what it sounded like (riffs, hooks, etc.)

Alot on this CD it took me 4 or 5 listen's to let's say get it but that's because there is alot in the production....it was the same way with Hysteria. on there look they had the same look with the Euphoria CD. and yeah they make no bones about it they want to be on top again competeing with the other top acts...and if that means writing hits then i guess that's it....but i like there hits better then alot of the crap that is out there because it still sounds like Leppard....No Definalty not as hard as the earlier stuff but clearly them.

I remember when Hysteria first came out and I thought it rocked but some of my friends didn't really like it then you know about 10 million copies later...........

Studiovod made a good point the def boys took the journey route. journey back in the day like DL had faster get up and move rock songs very raw without 10 thousand people singing harmony. Then what happend was it became a LETS MAKE THE greatest RADIO BALLAD SMASH HIT ever. after thay got a taste of big time success it completly changed the way the songs were done. The new DL cd is good but its to studio to perfect, todays rock is dirty and raw no longer is the drums sounding like cannons or guitar leads over powering the song its a new time now.

I picked up the new SUPERJOINT RITUAL CD, Use once and Destroy. It is Phil's new Band. They are heavily influenced by VOIVOD. I can see pieces of Voivod in the Music too.

Its funny you brought-up Pantera.

I drive by theyre Club on my way home from Work every Day.
Well...BEHIND it actually.
Lots of interresting things happen back there. :D

Oh well!
Phil is better on his own anyways.
