hey whats everyones plans for the summer?
Concerts/Vacations/Babies Births/Marriages? (divorces? haha)
all i know is that the summer weekend's pack up faster than ever!
sometimes i find it hard to just have a FEW weekends off with
NOTHINGNESS planned.
Ive already got a few concerts vacatons and parties planned and its
not even summer yet! (and a summer class that doesnt end til the last week of june) - hoping i get those weekends of nothingness in!

Not sure about the whole summer, but the month of May is extremely busy every w/e for me.
I am out of town next w/e (5/16 -5/19) with my youngest daughter for a music gig.
The following w/e (Memorial Day w/e) I have a party to attend on Sat. and my son is coming home and I'm taking him out East to see Randy on Suinday (he will get to see him live for the first time) and he's very excited about it.
The w/e of the 31st I have a reunion to go to. My former employer is getting all of us together at Bryant Park for dinner and drinks.
The w/e of 6/6 - 6/8 I will be in Florida catching some sun, fun, getting an early start to celebrating my 50th, and of course getting to see our beloved Zebra.
After that, I may drop dead, but I will have had fun doing it.

Go on a retreat in June, canoe trip in July, big conference after that. Concerts all summer.
canoe trip! And didnt invite me? I'm and avid canoe and white water guy. This is funny. A few years ago I was wading n fishing the delaware. When you get use to and know where the spots are that you can wade hip/chest deep without getting washed downstream you fish em out. I saw these 2 japanese guy tourist in a canoe tuck in a whirlpool. For 1/2 hour they were going in circles as I laughed until I finaly thought, this is pathetic. Then I waded out, reached in an pulled there canoe out so the can start floating downsteam again.
And then 2 hours later this heavy guy n girl tipped their canoe. I fished them out and sent them along their way. Then a 1/2 hour later I found this ziplock plastic bag in the water with a camera and twenty two bucks in it.
Hey, no good deed goes unrewarded. So I bought myself a six pack on the way home.

In a week, I've got a Caribbean cruise
Then for concerts, I've got:
In May:
Iron Maiden
In June:
Chicago/Doobie Brothers
Ten Years After
Mark Knopfler
In July:
ROCKLAHOMA (Yeah, finally get to see Zebra)
In August:
John Mellencamp
Sammy Hagar/Scorpions
Extreme/Kings X
Judas Priest/Heaven and Hell/Motorhead
In September:
Nightwish
I'm also thinking about:
Outdoor Lands Festival with Tom Petty/Steve Winwood/Primus
Cruefest
I also will have a party for my 2 year old in June (delayed a month since all my relatives are out of town). Can't believe my little guy just tuned 2 yesterday!
I'm also going to try to fit in a whitewater rafting trip in this summer. Overall, it looks to be a busy, but great, summer!

This will be my 6th. We are on the Carnival Destiny leaving from San Juan, Puerto Rico and going to St. Thomas in the USVI, Dominica, Barbados, St, Lucia, Antigua and St. Kitts.
I also have a cruise already booked for next year leaving from Panama and visiting 2 stops in Colombia plus Aruba, Caracao and Bonaire.
I think Zebra should consider doing one of those band cruises. I think that would be a blast. It would especially work on one of the ships that leave out of NOLA.

I am really not able to leave my office like I was at my former job. It is killing me. It looks nice from my window.

Then I'll tell you what you're missing and you can decide if it's nice enough for you.
Sunny sky, around 75 degrees with a slight breeze.

Well....I went to Grand Isle on Thursday...finally able to get out there...have been trying since beginning of May. Everything was going well until 1 in the morning.....starting hurling and stayed that way until 6 a.m :smilie_barf:. My mom had to rush me to the hospital in Galliano....had 3 bags of IV fluids pushed. I've had stomach viruses before...this one..it about killed me. Needless to say...after I was released...I came home. I'm going to try again this Thursday to head back out to GI for Memorial Day festitives (fishing rodeo's, bands, etc.). I'm keeping my fingers crossed I stay well this time. I'm going back to bed now...

leave Ralph at home this time. Have fun. I had one of those viruses before. Had my butt on the bowl and my head over the sink. It was coming out both ends at the same time. After a while all that would come up was bile. I couldn't hold anything down, not even water. I knew Ralph real well by the end of that day.:puke:
