My adorable little dog turns 1 year old today! I wouldn't think that dogs would have traits from the astrological sign they are born under, but he is a true Taurus.

Positive traits:

Great work ethic (very diligent when it comes to digging a hole in the back yard)
Loving - kisses me good morning every day
Affectionate - see above
Strong - for a little guy he tends to walk me
Cautious - overly so, for a dog I find this strange
Trustworthy
Calm - will be even calmer after he gets neutered
Tenacious - see hole digging
Patient - will wait forever to be fed
Faithful - he's a dog, faithful is their middle name
Easygoing
Careful
Dependable
Determined - here comes the hole digging again
Loyal
Protective

Negative are:

Controlling - wants to go his way when I walk him
Stubborn - wants to go his way when I walk him
Gets stuck in ruts - has gotten stuck between the neighbors fence because he doesn't go my way when I want to walk him
Resentful - doesn't possess this trait
Possessive - DEFINITELY! Wants to chew all my shoes because he thinks they belong to him
Overindulgent - only when I give him ice cream, which he LOVES
Jealous - Haven't seen this trait yet, but then again I don't have any other pets
Overly self-conscious - Doesn't have this one either...he has no problem licking his balls in front of anyone and everyone

Anyway...Happy Birthday Toby!!! You are the best!!!

Cool! Birthday wishes to Toby. My Budd is just over 8 months now. What a handful. Lick and chew. Lick n chew. Lick n chew. He loves to give Pugg kisses to anyone.

He got over his mites and mange that he picked up from his mom at birth.

Then he had to get microchipped and neutered, base blood tests and stuff.

Then he got the Butt Flu and diarhea for a week. Think the vet said it was Cocidia or something like that. Vet says he probably ate deer or goose poop or something when I took him fishing to the park and turned my back for a short while. I think the rice I put in his food helped alot. Thank god because he hated the meds. Put in food, he wouldn't eat it. Monojet down his throat, he start spitting up and foaming. And he was going through about 15 wee wee pads a day. But he's over that now.

Now we deal with Pugg acne. He getting pugg acne even though I clean his face 4-5 times a day using stridex, phisoderm face wash, warm water and baths at least once a week. Poor little guy. But he sticks it out.

Wow, poor little guy. I've been lucky. Toby is a Lhasa Apso and luckily, I've had no problems with him. They say that little dogs are prone to ear and eye problems (hmmm, I'm thinkin' the same goes for people too.)

Toby is just a fluff ball of joy! And as much of a responsibility as he is, I love him to death and would die if something happened to him. He truly is the only one who is happy to see me when I walk through the front door at night. I'll have to treat him to some vanilla ice cream tonight for his birthday.:icecream:
