This show was INCREDIBLE. Finally had a chance to see Roger, so now, I have seen ALL of Pink Floyd. And yes, despite what the naysayers will spout, Waters IS Pink Floyd. And having Snowy White on guitars was a added bonus. This man can play and makes it look effortless. His touring band was great and solid.
Visuall, audible, totally TOP NOTCH. 3D video(without the damn glasses!!), and sound that had stuff coming at you from ALL directions.
The venue is top notch and set up well. The only *negative* is that if you want to hit the facilities during a break, leave before the set is over. A nightmare to get in and out in the alloted time(well that and the pinheads NOT moving forward in the throng).
A nice bonus for me was that the rain stayed away. I monitored the weather the whole week previous, and when we left that morning, they were calling for T-Storms. Thankfully, a nice breeze came up and moved it out.
Funny moment during the show --- When "Diamond" started playing, the video screen had images of Syd Barrett. My friend and I scanned the crowd to see who really knew who he was. Suddenly, someone in front of us blurted out.....who's that on the screen? Jeesh.......read a little before heading out to a show already!!
I had a great few weeks seeing Rush, Asia, Zebra and Waters. Not often I get to see such a collection of talent in such a short time. Live music.....GOTTA LOVE IT!!!
