Pretty cool stuff.
This guy was the judge when my nephew Brad won the Zeigler's music guitar wars back in '97 here in B.R. I think it was '97. Anyway, he put on a Demo after the competition, the guy is incredible to say the least.

It's obvious it's a studio track along with the footage, but the sad fact is the man can do it live. I couldn't be 1/10 as good as him after you crushed both his hands. It's amazing and impressive, but no human should have that much control of their hands to be able to do all those moves and never miss a single note. It's just not fair, and it's not right. And it's awesome as hell.

It's hard to believe I haven't heard of him until now. He makes Yngwie look slow!

I think that these guys are all great guitarist, Yngwie, M. Angelo etc. etc.
I enjoy watching there demonstrations, however I would never put these guys in my favorite or greatest guitarist list. WHY
Because none of these guys have written anything worthwhile, and put it into a great song or tune. It takes the whole package to be in line with the greats.

At least Johnson put a solo togethor, put it into song.

Not Dissing these guys just think putting your playing into song is what makes you a true artist.

Immigrant song, 2 fingers, three chords, but does it get your attention when you first heard it, or even now!!! My answer would be YOU DARN RIGHT IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always thought that the best guitarists are those who can play for 2 hours without a singer and be totally entertained. Players like Joe Satriani and D ick Dale fall into that catagory (although both may sing for a song or two in a 2 hour concert). Those players are very technical but also play "songs" and relay feeling with their music.

I agree 100% with satchmo and Dale they write these songs or instrumentals which are fantastic. Just think that the "art "of playing and being a great guitarist is more than just technical flying up and down the neck, sweeping arps and speed as Yngwie and Angelo do, are they great, heck yeah. But really what have they done for my musical taste, put it into a song as satch does as eric johnson does.
Take David Gilmour for example, he ain't fast, he ain't flashy but copy what he does and you better hit every note, every bend, every pulloff , sustain every note precisely. A lot harder to do than super speed where you can cover up alot of mistakes.
I can't do any of it, I can barely go up and down the blues scale. LOL
But I know a great one when I hear one.

We have a guitarist around these parts that I would put with anyone anyday his name is John Lisi, this guy can do it all. I know some of you La guitar freaks have seen him, any comments.
