I heard a few songs the other day that I could imagine Randy doing solo or Zebra doing, such as.....
Randy Solo Acoustic - Supertramp's "Give A Little Bit".
Zebra - Journey's "Feeling That Way/Anytime".
Does anyone else have any other song ideas that they always thought the boys could really do well?

How about:
Roundabout (Randy)
Sister Golden Hair (Randy)
Bang A Gong (Zebra)
Kashmir (Zebra)
Back In Black (Zebra)
....Hmm would be a cool idea for them to release a covers album.

I know Zebra does "Blowin' Free" by Wishbone Ash...
How about some more Ash like "Time Was", "The Pilgrim" and/or "Throw Down The Sword".
Randy solo...I will have to think about that one. Maybe some Jackson Browne, more Rush, maybe Triumph ("Ordinary Man", "Say Goodbye", "Hold On"), "Crystal Ball" by Styx/Tommy Shaw.

Zebra - Journey's "Feeling That Way/Anytime".
sunday would have been fun for him to do journey tunes if he knows how to play any because, my friend danny was with me at pistachio's and he's the lead singer of separate ways the other jounrey tribute band on long island.

Agree 100% Don - Randy solo doing some Triumph - How about adding "All the Kings Horses", "MidSummers Day Dream", and even Rik Emmett's "Calling St Cecilia".
Zebra - How about some Stevie Ray Vaughan. I'd like to also see more YES covers..

Acoustic Randy doing "And you and I" by Yes would be a pretty good fit.

i'll probably get jumped for this, but so what. I think playing covers is a good outlet, but i wish he could use part of that effort to get some new Zebra material together. If he's doing that, great. The covers are great, but i'd rather original stuff. I also do not think there is any shortage of song ideas. I think sometimes randy/zebra may not realize how good/important they are. I really want some more music on cd before it's all over with.

I think everyone agrees with that. We all would like to see new material. However, if you read my original post, I was just saying that I heard some songs on the radio that I thought to myself, "Randy would kill on that song solo acoustic."(Give a little bit), or "That song would sound great with Felix and Randy splitting vocals".(Feeling That Way/Anytime). I just wanted to hear if anyone else heard some songs that would suit them well too.

A quick hit: in 1986 I was anticipating the release of the new Zebra albumn (which would be 3.5). Long before it's release I kept hearing the song "Livin on a Prayer" without knowing the artist yet. I finally taped it off the radio and played it for my cousin Joe saying "I think I have the new Zebra single." Several days later, we heard the artist was actually Bon Jovi. However, he did agree how I could be mistaken.
Now, I would in no way want to hear Zebra play "Livin on a Prayer", but a tune which would highlight the backing vocals of Guy and Felix, along with Randy's voice range and guitar abilities:
"Still of the Night" by Whitesnake

Agreed about NOT wanting Randy to cover BonBlowme but I WOULD like to hear Zebra cover some "talkbox" stuff:
Frampton "Do You Feel..."
Joe Walsh "Rocky Mountain Way"
Eagles "Those Shoes"
Motley Crue "Kick Start My Heart"

Randy played Wishbone's "Blowin' Free" at Zebrafreak's party like 5 years ago, so it's not like he hasn't done it at all this millenium. I think he can be persuaded. I didn't even know WA before then but it inspired me to get their Argus album which is great. Also has cool llive bonus tracks.
If you like "Go All the Way," try to find the Trip Shakespeare version that was on one of those CDs titled something like "Super Mega Hit Smashes" or something. Their version is very awesome. TS is an amazingly cool band from Minneapolis in the late 80s, early 90s which morphed into Semisonic later.
