How old is too old to trick or treat?

Can I ask anyone with kids this question? My daughters, 16 & 13, still want to go
Trick or Treating. I am tired of buying costumes. AND my youngest has never liked candy and she's the one who wants to go the most. I think it's crazy at this point.

I'm not sure. I think 13 is ok, but I think if you are old enough to drive, you are too old to trick or treat. Last year there was a a girl who must have been 18 come to my door (without a costume) - I mean, come on.

I think 13 is still reasonable for trick or treating, but usually by the time they're 16, they are more into going out and egging, shaving creaming and toilet papering the neighborhood - but it also depends on their development - you could have a 16 year old boy with a moustache, or a "36 double D" 16 yr. old girl, that would look alittle weird for them to be trick or treating, but if they havent gone thru their changes yet, then it wouldn't look so bad - I guess it depends on the individual when it gets to those ages

well i think it's totally legit for a 50 yr old man to be
dressed up and trick or treating with his granddaughter.
so long as your in costume and come to my home before 9pm your welcome,
l2 your daughters got plenty of time to be "adults" let it be.

After seeing channel 12 news this morning and finding out what they are doing to stop pedophiles from having any interaction with Trick or Treaters, I think I'll keep both my girls home or go with them.

Apparently, sex offenders are not allowed to decorate their homes with Halloween decorations. Now, I don't know about anyone else here, but lack of decorations never stopped any kid I know from ringin' the bell.

I am probably better off not knowing. My luck, they live right next door. I used to have one not too far from the gas station you were speaking about on a much earlier thread. Near the lake. I never let my girls go down there.

My daugter came home with very little candy in her bag and a lot of shaving cream on her clothing.
