I just saw the 30gb Zune for $99 [IPODS still $249]and being almost ready to take the jump into digital music for the road/car, gym etc., I was wondering if anyone who's had the ZUNE could give me their opinion.

Yes please give opinion. I too am "holding off" till the best deal. I have over 300 CDs and need something with a ton of space with a low cost.......

I made the jump and bought a Ipod Shuffle...I will upgrade to the 80g when finances allow. In the meantime...I love my shuffle. It holds only 240 songs which is OK for me for the moment. I use it mainly while I'm working out....I clip it on my shirt, put the earplugs in and I'm off. NICE!

I have the IPOD video its great I have over 2300 songs on it

I guessed that IPOD users are the majority given their advertising and popularity --I found enough decent reviews on Amazon.com to convince me that at $99 for something that holds 7.500 songs the Zune is worth a try.

So HOW do you download songs on the ZUNE? HOPING we wouldnt have to pay $1 a song crapola!

i got a brand-new 30g video ipod (which i use strictly for music)
from a friend that said the screen was too small (he used it for about a month) - cost to me? 50 bucks hells i got a 1 g mp3 which is fine would
NEVER spend anything more than 50 on any such device (well maybe 100 thats it though and i LOOOOOOOVE MY MUSIC!!!

I cannot imagine being without my ipod. If apple would come out with a 32GB version of the touch I would buy it in a second.

I don't know much about this thing, ipods, etc. All I know is that if it plays mp3's you might as well be listening to music through your cell phone speaker. I just can't get enough clarity out of a mp3. I need a very small PC in the car with a touch screen and a 300 gig hard drive.
