I have had a couple friends with pit bulls that are great non-aggressive dogs, both of which I couldn't imagine attacking anyone. That said, I wouldn't want a pit bull anywhere around my 14 month old boy. Even a good tempered dog can have a bad day, and it only takes a second to ruin the life of a child forever.
