This Lady was real loud and annoying on the cell phone this morning on the train. I can tell several people were disturbed but not enough to say something.
Her mistake was she read off her number to someone on the other end
201 320 3276

So here's justice . :hammer:

Today at 3 PM I need as many people as possible to send her a text message saying.

"SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!"

I was on a train in NJ and this stereotypical NJ loudmouth woman was doing her "load as all hell" thing into her cellphone. It was so obvious that it was annoying to everyone else there, so the crew made an announcement about please speak at a low volume on your cellphone or whatever, and this woman obviously didn't listen to the words being said and instead was just like "what was that? i couldn't hear because they were making some stupid announcement on the speaker!"

Another time, on the LIRR, a woman got into a Seinfeld-like discussion on the cellphone with her caterer at an unbelievable volume. She kept changing her mind, making them repeat her obsessive special orders, etc. When she finished, everyone on the train applauded, and the clueless lady looked around like she had no idea the applause was for her.

banterman, while I DID laugh when you said typical loud mouthed NJ woman, upon reflecting on her actions, it must have been a New Yawker who was on her way to one of OUR shopping malls, instead of staying home and visiting one in New York. Dont you have any over there? Why do you visit ours? We often wonder. Touche' :arf:

I cant disagree but I still have a valid point about the malls....
We should start charging for parking

the thing about the malls, it's probably cause NJ has lower taxes or doesn't tax for clothing or something like that I would imagine

That sounds pretty typical. About right. I actually witnessed people do this and then when people asked them to keep it down they got louder and told them to go f..k off! These people should blow it out of their A!

A woman I work with moved from Bethpage, LI to Monroe, NJ five years ago. It takes her about 3 hours to get to work and back. Says she moved to Jersey because it was less crowded and less traffic. I am not sure how true that is.

I think we should all move to New Jersey.

banterman

I think Jersey has pretty bad traffic, actually.

But what I meant was that in terms of pluses, New Jersey has nice beaches and cool rock clubs and such, and in terms of minuses, it has its share of dumb people (no offense to any of you, or to me!) In these respects, it's similar to Long Island.

Now I know there are dumb people everywhere you go, but I think NJ has a similar TYPE of dumb person that is often found on Long Island, meaning people who have more exposure to the mall than they do to any other type of culture and who would probably go to Paris and be mad that not everyone there speaks English and who go around saying a bunch of ignorant, racist crap and such.

Of course I now live in Queens, technically Long Island but also New York City. Here we have several different types of dumb people, like people who walk down the sidewalk taking flyers from those flyer-giving people, then tossing them on the ground, then tossing their losing lottery tickets on the ground or a variety of other dumb/dirtbag types, but only along the Nassau County border are there many NYC residents who are dumb in the stereotypical Long Island/New Jersey way!

I hate to say anything negative about my home island or our neighboring state, but you can't ignore the truth!

I myself mostly live in this area because my parents aren't getting any younger, my friends are here, my girlfriend's family is here, etc. If not I might move to New Jersey or California or Dixie for that matter. But as I say, there are many positive things to being here that I'd be giving up to live elsewhere, y'know?

SHOELUVRSIS
07-29-2007, 03:35 PM
definitely banterman - all areas have their plus & minuses - I love
NY, but i too am here for similar reasons you are (family friends etc)
in time i do wish to move elsewhere but for now this is where
i'm suppose to be.

(but maybe L2 is right, maybe we should all move to jersey!)

Monroe was farmlands dammit!

Sure it takes me 2 hours to get to work. But its all a matter of where you want to live.

You want to live in downtown Newark? Then expect drug dealers and guns.
You want to live in Linden or Rahway, then expect oil refineries and stink.
You want to live in Bayone, expect exhaust fumes entering the house when you open your window. You'll live close enough to your neighbor where you can both reach out your windows and shake hands. Expect no privacy. Expect to hear your neighbor's quarrel. Expect to hear car alarms going off. That is if its not already your car being broken into.
Traffic? Thats everywhere you go. And if there isn't any thats because nobody wants to live there.

But consider this near where I live.
We have a private beach and lake across the street.
The biggest lake in New Jersey down the street. Boating, skiing, wave runners etc.
Wildlife like Turkeys, bears, chippy-chip monks, deer and all roaming through the yard.
I sit in my backyard on the deck and I see woods not my neighbor's shed or house.
Parks/Reservations and campsites within 5 minutes from home (others drive 2 hours just to get there to go camping for a week).
5 minutes from Tomahawk water park with some of the coolest water slides.
30 minutes to the Delaware water gap.
30-45 minute ride and I'm in the Pocono's, the best Pennsylvania has to offer.
45 minute ride and I'm in the Catskills in upstate NYC.
1-1/2 hour ride and I'm down the shore at the beach/boardwalk.
5-10 minute ride and I'm trout fishing in some of the best streams Jersey has to offer.
30-45 minute ride and I'm in Orange County New York at the Saturday evening stock car races.
20 minute ride and I'm watching minor league baseball in the skylands or taking my corvette to one of the numerous car show's each year at the Chatterbox.

Everywhere has its pro's and con's. No thanks, I'm happy right where I am.

This Jersey Driver just recieved a certificate and pictures for racing a nascar at the Pocono super speedway.

I can't drive 55? scre w that, I was 170mph+ at 8,000 RPM. Another guy starting behind me was amazed that I never raced before. It was his third time and he said I was leaving him in the dust.

I think he said he was from Long Island. lol! just kidding!

And to think we lent them The Rack (louis Brown civic center) in Rutgers for a few years when they had no home!
They should of held off and moved to Newark once that fag Boin Jovi opens that new place with 8 concerts. None of which I care to see even if you gave me tickets and chaffuered me there in a stretch limo.

I am personally so sick of cell phones that I'd do without if everyone else did. We've all been there before. The age before cell phone. Were all still alive.

On the trains
In the cars (Can't wait till they pass a law and start ticketing people)
Standing at a checkout counter

Then these guys at work. Just because my cube is next to the picture window overlooking the NYC skuyline, they have to walk to the windows and stare out at the view while they talk on their cell phone. Sometimes loud. Sometimes while I dealing with a client on the phone.

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!
