View Full Version : Live Earth
See. Its not so much that Jersey is that bad a place. Its New York that keeps on taking credit for Jersey stuff. Like the Jets and the Giants. Now its LIVE EARTH New York! :Disappointed_anim:

yeah! thats baloney!!! Poor New Jersey!!!!
NJ will have LIVEEARTH. NY can have your hotdog eating contest.
No! Its not Bologna! Its weenies for NY! :roflmao:
Article doesn't mention that NJ also has the Nets. Which New York will steal in 2009.
And now we also have one of the top rated college football programs in the country too in Rutgers.
Wanna steal somebody NY, well give you Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.
And no people, The smithereens are not from NY as I once read. There from around Teaneck NJ.
The same thing happens elsewhere. If you know anyone from Orange County in Southern California (Anaheim, Irvine, Newport Beach, etc), they always make a point to say that they are not from LA, so what did the Anaheim Angels do but change their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. :roflmao:
Here in the SF Bay Area, the city of San Jose (which is larger than San Francisco in both population and area) always takes a second seat to San Francisco. That is just the way things are sometimes.

sorry, but no chance of that happening in the near future!!! haven't been in NJ for decades!!!
Oil refineries. Most costal shipping ports are in jersey. So basically New Yorkers are getting around on fuel dropped off in Jersey.
That other smell? Those are marshes. Hang around that area long enough and that smell will begin to permiate beneath your skin.

Long Island is definitely crowded no doubt - but the good thing is everything is 10 minutes away!!! And our beaches are some of the best in the world!!!

it's a scientific fact that if you are exposed to a smell long enough, your olfactory system get so used to it and you don't smell it anymore - weird huh?
Is that why they still been silent but haven't been deadly anymore?

I am lucky to be about 20 minutes to the PNC Arts Center! And still close to NYC!

Maybe the best bagels, but the best pizza in the world in Zachary's Pizza in Oakland:

I don't think NY could hold a candle to the great Chinese food in the SF Bay Area. Please note, I can confirm that the best Chinese food definetly does NOT come in China. I almost starved there.

The best pizza I ever had was in Chicago!!!:w00t:
Zachary's is Chicago style. An actual thick pie, stuffed with toppings, an exremely thin upper crust melted in with the cheese, and very spicy, chunky tomato sauce on the top. Some of the vegi toppings go on the top as well to avoid everything getting soggy. It takes them 35 minutes to cook, plus you will have to wait for a table in the evening, cash only - no delivery. It is so heavy that if you get it to go, most people drop it the first time it is handed to them as it is so much heavier than pizza people are used to. I have a couple friends that travel over 100 miles one way on a semi-frequent basis just to get a pizza there. I also have a friend in San Diego that has several Zacary's Pizza lovers working in the same office, and when any of them are in the bay area they take back several pizzas (he actually called the airline once to make sure he could carry on a pizza on the plane). The only problem is the almost certain heartburn to follow, but it's worth it. I'm making myself hungry, if my wife didn't already cook dinner.....

OK back to Live Earth....not that I dont like Pizza!!
But are there any plans for a re-broadcast on TV? I would have liked to have seen Roger Waters....thanks!
HMMMMMM!
New York has best bagels and pizza and chinese food.
Philly has best cheesesteaks.
Jersey has the best boardwalk sausage snadwiches and salt water taffy.
Yet were smack dab in the middle so we have the best of both worlds.
But I live up in the hills and mountains greg. We don't have sewer system. Too much rocky terrain. So we have to have septic. We landscape with rock. My neighbor has a boulder in his front yard larger then a SUV and its only the 1/2 above ground. Rock wall between our yards. Layers of step rocks in his backyards. Rocks! Rocks! Rocks! I dread doing yard work when I have to dig because you never know if your gonna hit that monster boulder in the middle of your project. But guess thats why we have all the lakes. Excavators and septic companies make it rich up north. And the traffic still ****s.

Yes, they claim it - but we got it. I've have Ginos, not bad - but not even in the same league as Zachary's.
I don't know about a rebroadcast, but I'm sure you can find it on youtube.

Actually, we don't make any of that. The pizza is in Oakland or Berkeley (both are 20 minutes away). No airliners are made here. As for grapes, the Napa Valley is about 40 minutes away.
Dominoes is putty pie!
We have Vinny and Son's and Roma!
