Us ZEBRA fans have been loyal and patient. We've been awaiting a new album forever. We realize that occasionally chat may stray from the original subject. If thats the case then it means that limited participation on this message board has led these subjects to stray from their original topic. Many of us ZEBRA fans mingle online, associate ourselves with each other, meet and become friends. We meet at ZEBRA and Randy acoustic shows.
The subject about multiple forums was brought up on this message board in the past. Should this happen? Can this happen? Somebody mentioned the complexity it may present to new members. I don't see it. Click on a different forum, view different topics of discussion.

MARK every forum i have been on works the same >. you post a topic and 4 to 5 replys latter it goes way off the topic . I guess having a Zebra chat and a non Zebra chat might help.

It's not too hard to figure out if your reply is straying from the original topic. If it has, just create a new topic. What's so hard about that? If it has nothing to do with Zebra at all, just go to the non-zebra forum. It's not like there are 20 different forums about zebra studio, zebra live, solo projects, etc. Just whether it belongs in 1 of 2 places and if it is on topic.

If you want realtime, stream of conciousness chat, grab an IRC client, go over to DALnet and join #zebra. I have already reserved the channel. That's not what forums are for.

You state that the participation is limited in here. Part of the problem is that new people come in here and find a topic about a particular song and by the time they get to reply the topic is about a favorite flavor of doughnut. If you want to attract new people you cannot make it difficult for them to join in. That is what you have been doing.

This is why I asked Chris to limit the number of replies to a post to 20.

After 7 or 8 posted the subject has changed anyway.

The subject may say… “Zebra’s New Album” but after 10 posts the conversation is about the running back that dropped a pass.

E-mail is a good way to have a conversation or instant messages.

A reply in a thread that says…. “Hey call me I’m Home”. Is just out of place in this type of forum.

Thanks OU812! From now on when I watch Drew Carey, I'm gonna hear "Zebra rocks" instead of "Cleveland Rocks" LOL
