What if the guys decided to scale back and go with their early idea of being an acoustic act only. The band comes out with a statement saying something like "We want to mellow out and go in a different direction".
a) happy
b) sad
c) indifferent
Since I haven't yet got to see them, I would be very upset not seeing them plugged in at full volume. If they played more often, then some accoustic shows (like what Golden Earring does) are fine, but they should stay heavy for the majority of their shows, especially not playing very often.

A day without screaming guitars and ear-piercing vocals is like a day without sunshine!:fruits_orange:

A few "Storyteller"-type acoustic shows would be pretty cool...but Zebra needs to stay a rock n' roll band!

Exactly, that is what makes those acoustic shows cool. It is a different sound and atmosphere, compared to the rock shows. They definitely need to stay a rock n' roll band! With Zebra playing so few shows, they need to stay rock, or do what Kings'x did, and do a short acoustic set in the middle of their regular rock shows.
