I hope you didn't all pack away your snow shovels. This warmer weather we've been having the past couple of days is coming to an end.:cold2:
... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through
Saturday morning...
The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from late tonight through Saturday
morning.
Rain will change to a mixture of sleet and snow late
tonight... eventually turning to all snow Friday morning. Only
light snow and sleet accumulations are expected by Friday morning... but
hazardous driving conditions may develop for the early Friday
morning commute as temperatures fall to around freezing. A
moderate to occasionally heavy snow is expected to re-develop
Friday afternoon and continue into Friday night. The snow will
likely mix with sleet Friday evening... and may even turn to all
sleet for a period Friday night. Despite a changeover... the
potential for 6 or more inches of snow and sleet exists... before
accumulating snow ends Saturday morning.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

Ok....I know it hasn't been a horrible winter, but I'm not looking to make up for lost snow storms in 1-2 months!!!
The weather has been SO nice these last 2 days. What a tease! Well, maybe we won't get the 4-6 they predict. I had heard that coastal cities may get less.

Okay! So, I go to Briarcliffe College in Patchogue at night and on Saturdays, attempting to get my degree before I make it into the casket and what I want to know is...how is every other school closed today and tomorrow, EXCEPT for the one I attend? Even their Bethpage campus is closed.
I decided to play hookie today. I had an appointment with a body shop this morning to get an estimate on a fender bender my son had a couple of weeks ago with my precious little Hyundai.
The roads are treacherous, especially the side roads. I was on the LIE, you should see how many cars were stranded from yesterday. Very nice cars too, I might add. I will never complain about my Hyundai again. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Of course my trip was for naught as the guy in the body shop couldn't get anyone to plow his parking lot. Needless to say, I am a little aggravated.
Well, I think I may have to bake and make a big pot of soup today!!!:chef:

well it would have been just fine with me if we got 6 feet
of snow - this ice stuff is DANGEROUS!
since yesterday i have a friend who fell & effed up her hip
another who shattered her foot -
and worst of all slipped - smashed head - 4 staples in head
no they werent drunk b/c if they were theyd be fine - but ths ice craze
is deadly!
give me snow ANYDAY over this!
the er's mustave been a mess yesterday! jeez!
6 inches? Heck, we got like a foot with a few inches of ice on top. SHoveling was a b!tch!

I've been extremely busy. Boss just resigned. Having to take over some of his responsibilites. Business trip to Los Angeles and Iowa to move one of our systems to an newly LPAR'ed box. Stuff like that. Been working late hours and doing alot of commuting.

Yeah, too much work. Last weekend a colleague and me worked right through the weekend. Awoke 5AM Sat morning and didnt' crash until after 9PM Sunday night. 40+ hours straight. It started to get counter productive after a certain stage. Couldn't think straight!
