Do you know these guys? Awesome first 2 cd's....
Anyone who doesnt know them please check 'em out. I'd say they're a mix of Better Than Ezra and pre-sell-out Goo Goo Dolls

Gregg,
Andy Schmidt (lead singer, lead guitarist, songwriter) opened for Randy here in Dallas back on June 2. The fans definitely had the opportunity to see and hear Andy's talented work. He was very excited to be opening for Randy since he has been a long-time fan of Zebra.
Andy and Kevin Gagnepain (bass) are part of the el Monstero y Los Masked Avengers shows that take place in St. Louis every year around the Christmas holidays. These are multiple sold out Pink Floyd tribute shows that are incredible. Last year was the first time I had the chance to catch one of these shows, and let me tell you, intense perfection from these musicians. See www.elmonstero.com for some pictures and information. Also, www.thepageant.com
As for the band Stir, they recorded a third album which was never released by Capitol...as the label dropped the band after the recording was completed. Great songs, great musicianship...though I am a little biased, I believe Capitol made a big mistake. Andy lives out in the Los Angeles area and continues to write and record. He has an interest in possibly going independent. The rest of the guys are in St. Louis and have other projects going on, so I really do not think Stir exists anymore. The fans still hope and wait, but I do not see it happening. I have been trying to help through some of my contacts, but have been quite busy to give it a 110% effort.
Thanks for asking, Gregg...and for anyone interested, I highly recommend both of Stir's CDs - the self-titled debut and "Holy Dogs".

"Skeletons" on the unreleased third album/cd is a song that, if picked up by radio, may have led to platinum status.
Andy performed that song acoustically here in Dallas...outstanding.
Check out this website as well - www.stirmusic.net
There is a performance of "Clear" from K-SHE 95 about half way down...check it out!
