where there are black bears/mountain lions etc - s.lvr orig lives in holtsville!
ok they are locked up but what if?

and to be honest id rather see a friggin bear or lion before i ever see an opossum - hell i just gotta croutch into the fetal position and lay still, either one would eventually continue on. OPPUSSOM'S'ELL KILLYA!!! :cryin_smilie:

I have never seen a live opossum, but I've seen many of them in roadkill form! Yuck!

They are a scary sight to behold when alive - they look like giant rats w/ black beady eyes and a pointy snout and crazy sharp teeth & they look like they're smiling the most evil smile - they look like satan in animal form. I used to live in holbrook and one night I opened my door to call my cat in and there was one right on the side of my apartment, I closed my door so fast!!! actually though, it's a misconseption that they are viscious (sorry for misspelling), they are very timid animals, and play dead when frightened - and the real name is "possum" not "opossum", that's another common misconseption. if you see one crawling around during the day, it usually means they are very sick, or rabid. same w/ racoons.

You should see our garbage cans. Covers have claw scratches and puncture marks from bears trying to pry open. I need to get another Puggy soon for protection!

Because easly on people were abusing the hell out of them and lots of people were on slow dislup connections and complained about how long it took the pages to load. I just never changed it.

oh so true! EVIL I TELL YA! apparently if you just leave them be and dont "corner" them they wont do you any harm. i had a n apartment in Patchougue and it was deep in the woods they use to hang by thier tails from the trees!
aint never going back!
p.s. my dad worked for the SPCA(suffolk prevention of cruelty to animals)
and did you know if you catch a raccoon it is illegal to set them free you are suppose to drown them (in a garbage pail or something)
