In a nutshell, the ucla police were checking id's in the library, and this student (middle eastern, i think) did not provide an id. The student started yelling and not co-operating. Were the police right for using a taser? Video here > http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=5e9b8760fe

Middle eastern people in america should learn to tread lightly ovafter the events that occured over the past 5-6 years.

That video ****s ass, but you still get the gist of what happened. How many times do you have to tell a guy to get up before he listens? People need to learn to cooperate with the police and they will stop getting tazed/shot. A simple "Yes sir/No sir" goes a long way with a cop.

it didn't seem like it warranted the tazor though - he wasn't a 350 pound guy on angel dust that 1 or 2 cops couldnt handle with their hands alone - they could have handled it differently. Aren't they supposed to be trained in some sort of martial arts, or self defense class while in training? Some cops get high on their authority and take advantage of it.

i agree with the "God like" complex some cops develop but i say
if a cop asks you to do something you should do it with little or no questions asked -
or suffer the tazor/baton whatever
