Family and I are going in by train to see the Parade in NYC Thursday AM - any tips on where to view it or getting around -other things to do while in there - most shows are sold out and Museums closed.

I have never gone in to see the parade as I am always the one cooking Thanksgiving dinner. One of these days I will have to do that. I do plan on taking my girls in to Manhattan on Friday, (Black Friday to be precise.) We're just going to shmy around and spend money I don't have, but plan to earn in the near future!

Have fun Bob! Oh...and Happy Thanksgiving!

both plans sound like fun. I'll do the regular family shindig, everyone eats and then hauls ass.

Dress warm and have fun! I wanna do this someday - I just can't get Stix to go back into NYC since he is there everyday! I'm lucky I get to see the tree!

We went -except Maria- yeah it was wet and a little cold -we dressed for the weather and we got to see it from almost the edge of the sidewalk because the crowds weren't so bad and we got there early enough. We also got home early enough for a nap and then the turkey feast for dinner. I would do it again -only if better weather next time.

I was thinkin' 'bout ya all day Bob, the weather was terrible today. If it's raining tomorrow, I will hold off until Saturday or the sun comes out, whichever comes first. I am off from work until next Wednesday.

I just checked on the weather Kel and it looks like it may be nice tomorrow and a little warmer. My daughters will die if you don't go into NYC! They think I'm made of money. I wish I were...:azzangel:

I like going to the City -but yesterday was not the most pleasant trip even though we got to see part of the parade- we bailed out at about half of it - too many umbrella's in the way and the warmth and comfort of a restaurant wa just too inviting. Next time it will be to the museums and Central Park - I always try to get to Strawberry Fields when I am in there.

No parade for me, not this year at least. My girls and I went in today to see Hairspray. It was fantastic. We did a lot of shopping in Macy's, great sales going on. We were in Manhattan for 12 hours. I did my share to keep the economy going!
