I'm not a racist, but i forgive him. I heard clips on the radio today. I don't know what it's like to get heckled, but richards was probably thinking of the quickest/best way to get back at him. It's tragic, but it's just words. Let the public decide if they want to listen to him anymore.

Words are only words, agreed, but there will be repercussions. Remember, someone (the real killer! ) has literally gotten away with murder because the investigating detective said the "N" word years earlier regarding ANOTHER F'N CASE!!!! ????? :mad:

well, there's a double standard then, because i'm sure that racial slurs have happened on that stage. Paul Rodriguez talks about white people, and chappelle talks about blacks; hell, george carlin got away with it. So, what if you are mixed race, can you say the n word and be half right and half wrong? This won't hurt kramer becaue he was already not doing anything. You know how the world works (in alot of cases), people get rewarded for messing up. I say cut him some slack. The guy was in a low spot, he was an actor, not a stand up comic, and was not used to being heckled. Okay, he blew his top, and hopefully he learned his lesson. I suspect that some black people were not fond of seinfeld, and knew they were going to heckle before kramer started. I've heard white jokes about "friends" and "seinfeld". Flip the situation > If a black or hispanic comedian went off on whites like that, we wouldn't be talking.

I agree about the double standard thing, especially w/ Chris Rock - I hate that guy - but Kramer was SO crazed and out of line and insulting, I think that's why it's being made into such a big deal.

You guys remember playing agame when you were a toddler, where the teacher would whisper a word in one childs ear and have it go around the room, to find that it changed? Well, the same goes here. Remember Rodney King? Everyone didn't see the police chase and his attempt at "hurting" an officer, before that tape caught the pinati match. If it wasn't for the "footage", the media wouldn't react. Had this Kramer episode happened, by hearsay, it would just be labeled as a "washed up actor off of his meds", he would appologize, hand over a few ducks, water under the bridge. But now with the footage, sorry charlie, it ain't going to happen that way. Al Sharpton and the Reverand Jesse Jackson will be in front of all the black people saying "this tyraid wasn't aimed at those two hecklers in the audience, it was aimed at all the Negro's of the world. All the slaves that were freed from their poverty riden state, that we all have become ancestors of. We can compare our home land of Africa to this country we call the United States of America, where we wouldn't be judged on appearence, because we are all in this together." At this point, I would have some symphony in the background setting up chairs and tuning their instruments for some great background music.

Who did I see on TV ranting about this, Star Jones was it, and the fork in them remark. I was like "well it wasn't ok for him to say that the white folk put forks into the slaves, but today you people are doing the same to your own kind, why should it matter?" Look at the crime stats, they don't lie. Brothers dying each day for greed and power.

I would just like to write Sharpton and Jackson and say "hey, how about a deal, we whities will take of Kramer, if you take care of your own kind". -- (Jive ass dude don't got no brains anyhow! Hmmph!) Airplane
